Saving Photos To The Cloud

I have a Moto G 2015 - 3rd generation mobile phone .

There are several photos on it , which i wish to save to the cloud - AND also set the phone to save future photos automatically to the cloud as and when taken .

Is there an idiot proof guide/ instructions out there somewhere, that someone can point me to ?

I have tried looking on the web , but can't find one

An Android phone will automatically upload photos to Google Photos. Check the Photos app on your phone and see if the settings are set to auto backup.

More.....I assume you have a gmail account on the phone. If so go to Google Photos on the web on your PC and logon with your gmail address and you may find your photos are already there.
