Just noticed that my phone needs charging more often than usual, has anyone had the same issue lately, the phone is only used for text's only, do not down load pics, music or anything like that. tia

Apple battery or a knock off?

Knock offs are often a false economy.

If you paid £79 to get an official Apple battery change, contact Apple to complain.

If you used an unauthorised service, they've probably fitted a battery with a lower milliamp-hour rating than a proper one, meaning that it won't hold a charge for as long.

I had a local bloke to put the battery in Chico, I did not have the small X Head screw driver other wise I would have done it myself, I shall contact him tonight, the person is handy with PC / Lappy's /Phones.

An iPhone battery should be rated at 1440 mAh (which might also be shown as 5.45Wh). The problem with finding out whether your new battery is actually rated with those figures is that the manufacturers of cheap batteries often put misleading stickers on them. (So, while the battery might carry a label reading '1440 mAh' it could really be rated at, say, just 1200 mAh).

Knock off doesn't mean stolen, just not authentic. Buy cheap buy twice is a good addage.

Many years ago a friend got stuck for 7 hours in the snow and the car ran out of fuel. I decided to add some extra warm clothes in a vacuum compression bag. Come the winter I carry all the kit I think I may need.
