GG....what do you think of the new Guardian ?

I rather liked the Berliner format, but we have to move with the times I suppose (!)

I would have preferred a bit more colour on the front page.

Monday is always a bit thin for most newspapers. It will take some getting used to but if it helps in keeping the newspaper on the racks, than its well worth a try.

Hi, Mikey, just seen this post. In spite of my occasional references to The Guardian, I'm not a purchaser of it, just sometimes see copies - haven't actually bought a copy since it was 15p. But I love newspapers and believe 'the more the merrier' when it comes to daily and weekend papers - I've even been known to buy a newspaper in Europe in a country where I know nothing of the language!

Have only seen a couple of front pages on the BBC papers review, and thought they were really dull compared to the previous design - there's a very good review of the redesign on Amol Rajan's blog: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-42689777

Actually, I don't buy it every day. I avoid Friday, as its wall-to-wall pop music and films, rather than the higher Arts !

I was talking to one of the old timers in my Village today, about the re-design. He said he hadn't got over the loss of the word "Manchester" yet !
