Eaten Out Tonight.

It was granddaughters 21st birthday today. 10 family members went to an Italian restaurant in Ross on Wye tonight. The food was fabulous. I had mussels in a tomato and red wine sauce with chunky bread for dipping. Followed by whitebait and a mixed salad. Absolutely delicious.
Only problem was it was our U3A skittles and lunch today. I had preordered a month ago steak and kidney pudding chips and peas before I knew about tonight's outing. I did leave most of the pastry though.
I was good tonight and didn't have a dessert! My main course was really a starter. I feel absolutely stuffed.

I know the answer to that one Caren. A few years ago we took the motorhome to Norfolk, on the first night we found a brilliant restaurant and had difficulty choosing what to eat. Solution, ten night holiday we ate at the place six times.

We had a motor home too for about 10 years. We also had a cruiser for about 8 years prior to that. Best holidays we ever had.

Just over ten years ago, we stayed in the Wye Valley for our Ruby Wedding. The actual anniversary was on the Monday and we went into Ross on Wye thinking it seemed a big town for a celebration meal and it appeared to be closed! Apart from a pizza place and takeaway chicken, there seemed to be nowhere to eat. We walked past a couple and asked if they could recommend somewhere for a nice meal and they pointed us in the direction of a hotel where they had celebrated their ruby wedding the weekend before so that's where we ended up. Maybe we were just in the wrong part of town.
