Would you be adventurous enough to emigrate to another planet if the conditions there were found to be suitable to sustain human life?

Having read many of their posts on AB, I'm of the opinion that quite a few ABers are already living on another planet.

No. The nearest star is over 4 light-years away, which means, even if it had a suitable planet, it would take about 9 years to get a reply from a question on AB. I couldn't wait that long.
no, i just about cope with this one to be honest.

Are we talking a colony on Mars or something further away?

If Mars ever gets colonised I'd love to visit it although moving there forever would be a bit much.

After arriving at Proxima Centauri...

*sending message to best friend* "Hi! Just arrived, weather lovely surprisingly and it's great to be the first one here! How's things mate?"

Nine Years later...

"New phone, sorry. Who's this?"
Good question .I think Buenchico deserves best answer .if I emigrated to one would I be tracking the earth instead of the Spacestation .

Your answers are interesting, thank you.

I certainly would not want to live anywhere dodgy.
no, it wouldn't be the same without sitting in all day waiting for amazon to deliver

If I could take my dog, yes!!
In a heartbeat especially after seeing Matt Damon in “The Martian”

What an adventure it would be to be a pioneer and venture into the unknown to colonise a planet...,.if the rocket didn’t explode in our atmosphere,we weren’t hit by an asteroid or 1 of a million other things that could go wrong went wrong, lol

I wish I put my name down for the one way trip to mars

Jahulaye The martian is a brilliant film!! i was skeptical because I didn't like Matt Damon, but he was so great! Brilliant concept too.
Agreed anthro, great acting and a storyline that really sucked me in. A lot better than that Tom Cruise space film
Oh god that was horrific.

I quite enjoyed Passengers though.

What - you mean a planet with a 'dodge city' where you have to be constantly on guard from a bullet in the back ?

There's no suitable planet sufficiently nearby that I'd reach it before I shuffled off this mortal coil. So N/A.
