Archie Panjabi is married to a spook - and her brother is murdered in suspicious circumstances ( his last words were " this is not what we agreed!")
The rather gormless geeky son has not fled to Thpain but is in Lahore - and being a chronic non achiever doesnt even achieve an escape.
The houses get searched under the Terrorism Act - and the Pakistani authorities are making difficulties about releasing the brothers body.
and so the scene is set for Archie to go out there
with the moolah to get the body released and is gonna be blamed for handing it to a terrorist suspect and then indicted for supporting terrorism. oo-er Archie - look out behind ya!
Like Homeland - quite a lot of this is based on fact.

the brother rang Archie and said he was going on a detour which ends with his death and protest - so we cannot be sure about that
BUT

I thought the plot points were good - an assimilated anglo indian family - one bit being establishment and the other bit unwillingly involved in terrorism ( yeah OK geek head is willingly involved but ...)
so I found it compulsive viewing - edge of the seat stuff (but then me auld mama was born in Bombay)
