Additional home security - what is the best type of lock to get as a second lock on a front door?

I live in a small apartment building and my neighbour got broken into yesterday. The lock we have at the moment isn't the greatest, and I am now very worried about my home security. Is there any kind of additional lock I can install ot my front door?
