hey Tosca at the Met is an anagram of

Ascot, tat theme! - Horse lovers may disagree.....
Question Author
Builder....no, I didn't know that !

By the way, its just coming to the end of Act 1, with that wonderful Te Deum.

All the excitement is in Act 2 !
PP, Ascot is great especially on Hideous Frocks day.
Oh dear applause during the performance
how very provincial

Brummies do it alot - when Miyako Toshida came onto the stage ( yeah I know she didnt sing very well or at all) and passe-ed around that stage like a cat that had got the cream, - the audience went crazy
Question Author
When I was last at the Met, over 30 years ago, most of the principles walked to the front of the stage to enjoy there 2 mins applause, immediately after each solo aria!

Very old fashioned I thought at the time, and it completely spoiled the flow of the story.
