It took me about 15-20 minutes to type in a question I have just submitted. It has taken about 2-3 minutes to get this far on this question. I have a similar problem on some other sites. It seems to be the animated ads and the ads that get regularly refreshed. Why does it take so long for my desktop PC to refresh the screen? Thanks.

Low specifications leading to insufficient resources and slowness ? Slow broadband ? Were everyone getting it then it might be an issue with the ad provider but whilst we all get problems sometimes I don't think we're all getting problems right now. I guess there may also be issues with your video drivers or antivirus checking the ad download ?

I've started typing my answers into notepad on my computer and then copying and pasting into AB. It's quicker!

If you are using an iPad or mobile, I would recommend an app called Ginger. I have banana fingers and often make typing errors. It corrects really well and you can cut and paste after. Best of all it's free. Don't know if there is a PC version.

Which browser are you using wordone?
IE9 causes problems for many, Firefox and Chrome generally work well

Only just found this thread again. I think I had a major hacking problem which has mostly been resolved now - I think and I hope. Since placing the original question I have changed service provider also email provider and deleted and reinstalled some software. The desktop PC certainly seems to be behaving better now with regard to this site. I like the suggestion of setting any text up on Notepad or similar and then copy and paste - why didn't I think of that! Because the problems I was having were driving any other sensible thought out of my head I expect.
