As you will see, I am now putting cryptic clues in for the picture clues- as requested by the people I supply to. Do you find that this makes them less challenging? There seem to be fewer requests for answers on the ab these days.

Cj, the lack of people asking for answers is due to the fact that ,since the site was changed, a lot of people have left. The crossword site is particularly slow.

With regards to your query regarding putting clues to the pictures, haven't you always done this?

5D - lack of knowledge on my part, not come across presentiment before.
18a couldn't get it from the picture but worked it out from letters I had.
Some days I sail through other days I struggle a bit. Funnily enough the pictures confuse me at times

The clues under the pictures used to be mostly one 'half' of a clue, to complement the picture clue. Now I have been asked to make the word clues under the picture clues more cryptic, like the other conventional clues in the puzzle.

Mt, are you able to say what it is about the pictures that is confusing?
