. . . I'm dead!

It's just come up with "Error 1", which the instruction manual tells me means "No pulse detected".

Perhaps it's actually trying to monitor my brain activity?

Chris....we could lie together.....side by side....arms on our chests......as the AB tomb effigies..... ;-)

>>> The surprising thing was that after a month or so the odour disappeared and no-one complained anymore.

Are you sure that it wasn't just that the people who'd been complaining had disappeared ;-)

>>> Chris....we could lie together.....side by side

Oh why did you have to continue that sentence, Gness? I was quite enjoying it up until that point ;-)
Mmmm.....wishing I'd not carried on either, Chris.....I must work on my chat up lines....... ;-)
Jack at 2140, that is not a sphygmomanometer. Sounds more like a calculator to me ;)

As a fully paid up member of the hypertension club, I have always been advised that there is no "ideal reading". It all depends on so many factors.

Some starting points (or possibly not!) for you, Gness ;-)

Lord those are awful, Chris....but I may just work on number four.... ;-)

It certainly seems appropriate on this thread, Gness ;-)

Oh, apparently I am alive after all, as I now seem to have a pulse of 72 bpm (and BP of 155/90).

The BP looks a little high so perhaps I'd better seek some medication. Now I wonder if this glass of Italian fire-water by my side will do the trick?

;-)
Why are you checking your blood pressure Chris, do you feel unwell ?
Question Author
Health professionals suggest that everyone in their 60s and above should regularly check their blood pressure, Anne. It's just part of the daily routine for me.
You check your blood pressure daily ?
Question Author
I suspect that a large number of ABers will check their blood pressure daily, Anne.

If you only do it, say, once per month you wouldn't now whether an abnormally high figure was just a 'blip' or a sign of something serious. Monitoring BP daily is a better way of getting an overall picture of how things are.
I'm not questioning anyone checking their b/p :-). Although I have hypertension ( medicated) I've never thought of using a home device.
Thanks.
