Have two clues where the answers seem apparent but cannot work out why.
1) A leader in Sun that's about standard mocking banter (10)

Answer appears to be persiflage ? I can see flag for standard but no more.
2) Student in university keeping small space for air cleaner (9)
I have f-e-h-n-r
Answer appears to freshener? I can see fresher for student but no more.
