Is it practical to introduce a quota of say 5 or 10 questions in a day?

As I said somewhere else, I found plenty of his questions sensible; and if the rest weren't, they were still better than a lot of other stuff on AB. There are plenty of people on here who've never asked a sensible question in their lives, so let's not deter the ones who do. The only problem is that others get pushed off the page, but that's in the nature of AB's layout.
Jake, jno and all, That "certain person" got on my nerves yesterday sending all those posts but not as much as by posts such as " Where's the best place you've has sex" and "Have you picked your nose today". I cant believe just how many AB'rs actually reply to these stupid and unneccessary questions. Before anyone chips in, yeh I have a life,Im not miserable I just want AB back to how it used to be when the previous ED was here.
I agree. People complained when B&S started to become just like chatterbank, and the Ed did nothing about it. And now, as was predicted, the chatter and inane questions have started to spread into all the other sections, annoying a whole new group of users. It has gotten to the point that people have been asking their important medical/health questions in other sections, since everything in b&s gets pushed off the page so quickly. Well, I suppose everyone knows the obvious solution to this problem.
I actually got the irony of the 'When was the last time You Picked Your Nose' thread, it was an indirect and subtle dig at the inanity of a considerable number of other threads that were put up in seriousness. The fact that people answered it seriously highlighted even further the 'problem' it was trying to subtly lampoon.
Some threads do make me stop and think, is this person trying to let us all act like lemmings and commit ourselves to the fall, or are they seriously asking this question and have a low estimation of the capacity to which AB's collective brainpower can function.,

I agree with you Kay, I too prefer the 'old' AB. There was plenty of banter and good humour, but serious questions got asked, and serious answers given.
Although you can ignore the purile stuff that is appearing more and more, it's going to drive away people who are really interested in getting sensible replies.
What has happened to the site editor?

Old AB??? There does seem to be an element of favouritism going on in recent times. I did (in another thread) suggest that Body & Soul was sub-divided so that general life (how many times do you fart/pick your nose a day, and who is the best ABer in bed?); Relationship issues (my husband didnt answer my text this morning and I am stressed/PMTd/jealous what should I do?); and Health, Fitness and Nutrition (I have an illness does anyone know any support groups as I am feeling down and people on AB are ignoring my questions because of the 2 previous questions?) could be separated out.
I thought it was a good suggestion as those who wished to provide daily blogs about their sad miserable lives and relationships could carry on doing so in the general section, whilst the genuine people who wanted to ask and answer the more serious stuff without being subjected to that rubbish could avoid it.
Seems to have fallen on deaf ABEd ears though. Anyone else think that she's disappeared? Are we allowed to say we liked the old one better or would we get struck off the favourite list - if we are priveleged enough to be on it?

Gastwo and Octavious, Thanks for replying. I understand what you mean Octavious and yeh, a sub division is a good idea but I bet the Ed would'nt go along with it.! What (Dare I say") annoys me is, anyone who thinks the same as us and says so,are called miserable, told to lighten up and get a life etc. These "Page Hogger's" cant see its them who must be sad for posting the meaningless questions in the 1st place! Maybe a "Jokes" sectiion would be a good idea? Gastwo we mus'nt allow the daft sods to drive us away. Why should we? As for the ED,she's on holiday there's supposed to be a co worker standing in but if there is,she/he is'nt doing much to help either. Kay.
