Baggy Jigsaw Board

Didn't know where to post this but here goes, I bought a new jigsaw puzzle board two weeks before Christmas but have only just had time to try it out and find that the cloth that covers the board is very loose and baggy so that the pieces don't lay flat, to late to send it back so is there any advise out there of what to do to make it better please?

I can't see why you can't return it, Biccy.....supposing it was a 7th Feb birthday gift bought early?......It would only be now it was found to be not fit for purpose......x
