As I point out on questions like this, I’ve really no idea why people are surprised at a proEU Govt trying to throw obstacles in the way of Brexit.
Yes, yes, I know it was the will of the majority and all that but it was made clear that the Govt didn’t have to abide by it. This is just those people who don’t want it to happen doing what they think is best for Britain, just as you (hopefully) did when you voted leave.
Well, the tone is already quite low, so forgive me if I digress on the subject of Anna Soubry. Readinm Matthew Parris, he reckons she has made one mistake in her career: she once described Nigel Farage as looking like a man who had had someone stick a finger in his bottom and quite liked it.
The mistake? She apologised :-)
