Retrieve Contacts And E Mails From Windows Live Mail 2011

Hi Windows 10 did an automatic update on my laptop which made the computer crash and it has now had to be restored.

I have been unable to restore Windows Live mail 2011 -Microsoft no longer support this ( unless someone knows how this can be done) and so I have lost most of my contacts plus saved e mails. Is there any way of retrieving these. many thanks

It depends on what you mean by Windows having been restored, however if you feel confident enough you could check the folder your emails were stored in to see if anything is there
For Windows Live Mail you will have to navigate to

C:/Users/username/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows Live Mail

To view AppData you will need to adjust your folder options to show hidden files and folders
