Not sure how much sympathy I have for the "it's made me overdrawn" mob now howling for Tesco's blood?
I always check all payments have gone through (especially if times are tight) and balance the books each week/month - if there were some unclaimed payments I'd make sure I kept the cash in my account against the day that they were eventually processed?

The problem with debit cards is that they are buried in all the other transactions so not easy to trace so personally I am still a cash man - especially in the pub (Had too many shocks morning after the champagne bars with the Amex Gold in the late 80's early 90's). In addition the credit card gives me cash back so no incentive to use a debit card.
