We agreed to take MIL away to Brugge for her 80th so that she can spend 'one last birthday with her family'!
We have booked the ferries and eurotunnel and hotels and paid a lot of money upfront to get best prices!
She has now decided she doesn't really want to go!! - Do we tell her how much we will lose out on or just swallow it and take it on the chin!!
The old crone may still change her mind - I wouldn't put it past her!!
That is true PP but I find that sometimes thinking about such things from that aspect can help to clarify the decision.....not so much that Islay's OH will have a definite answer but that he may feel that he will want to say "I did my best" or on the other hand that he may say "Enough is enough I won't put up with any more of her carp"
....honestly I am often surprised on how far adult children will go to stay on terms with unpleasant parents....but who am I to judge or have an opinion? I am one of those lucky people who come from a happy family.
For your information I have not had any answers removed, but if you are concerned why don't you ask the question in Editor's Blog or even contact the editor by email?
Ups!!! I notice your rather silly post has been removed.
How are answers removed so quickly?? All I see is 'answer removed'. I never see the actual question, But having said that I thought we had free speech.
