Micro Grill

Have any of you tried a microwave grill? I am looking at an advert for one that sounds great, its supposed to keep all the flavour but cook in a fraction of the time and be easy to clean. My old George foreman grill has been great but is so old that it is now time to replace it, its a *** to clean as don't come apart, and I don't need the work.

I have got a combi microwave and can grill and microwave at the same time. Its excellent for things like frozen chips and so on, really speeds up the process and you cannot tell the difference from oven cooked food. I wouldn't do a steak though!

Thanks woofgang, I don't really want to spend money on a combi as I already have a microwave, the micro grill is only £12.99 and can be got in the sink to be cleaned, but don't look like any one else has one. but never mind, for the price its worth a try.

I'd not put good meat in that.....a hot dry frying pan would be better

Got one of these micro grills, tried it, USELESS, it sort of did the bacon but the ends of the rashers were dried up. cheese sandwich melted the cheese, bread rock hard not brown, sausages not worth a mention, off I go to buy a new George Forman grill.
