Thursday. A light frost this morning, not as cold as predicted. That's fine by me!

On Saturday I will be raising a glass to our lost friend Mikey at 1300 (1PM) Please feel free to join me.

For the first time in I don't know how long I had an uninterrupted 6 hours sleep last night. The first of many I hope!

Good morning everyone, I know I missed a few of ye - all gone your own ways since being on here, I was awake very early but prepped my dinner for the slow cooker and did some much needed housework, I am so contrary that I am doing housework this morning tbh, I should be in the RTÉ studios in Cork as I type!!! my friend was nominated (by me as it happens) to have a makeover but she was on duty last night, nurse, so they gave such short notice, she couldn't get anyone to take her place, never many takers for the night duty - they were gonna pay our expenses for lost hours at work, petrol money, put us up in an hotel last night with dinner and breakfast this morning, my friend was gonna get pampered and get a goodie bag worth €150 - it was all gonna be fun, instead, it's a lovely day here, I've all the house clean and instead of going shopping or the like, I'm gonna sit out the garden and do some of that art colour therapy while the weather is well and the little birds are feeding away

Don't worry about getting mixed up, it will take a few days, Mikey's sudden passing was a shock to a lot of people on here but because you knew him via email etc., it's understandable, it's not the news you were expecting. It is sad
