That’s how much I’ve lost this week- and I’ve been really good
I guess I’m one of those people who have a slow metabolism. does that exist and, if so, can I help speed it without increasing my salt and sugar intake?

Well done.
Exercise for increased muscle mass ?
Question Author
I walk 3.2 miles at least 3 tines a week (to work) and lots more besides (I don’t drive so always walk at very least 2 miles a day)I really thought I’d do better this week
Don't know if it would help, have you thought about breaking the speed of your walk into 'ordinary' and 'brisk' walking?

(well done on the loss tho x)
Ricor, well done!
0.3 kg is a lot, I have a medium tub of clover butter which is 500gms so you’ve lost nearly that much fat which is pretty damned impressive.

To speed it Ive used green tea extract before exercise and am pleased with the results as well as fat loss gte is a great antioxidant for all round health so just that reason is good enough for me to take it and the weight loss is a bonus ;)
0.3 kg=300 gms
You need to do exercise that gets you out of breath.

I thought about green tea but I only drink Earl Grey decaff for BP reasons - except for my first cup of the day which is Green Earl Grey - I figure that the cup that re-hydrates me after the long nights sleep should be a green tea of some sort
You could try this book. "The Fast Metabolism Diet" by Haylie Pomroy.

I've used it and lost a stone in a month.
Have to be honest - that's just over half a pound - you must have amazingly accurate scales to record that as a weight loss. My weight varies by up to 2lbs a day depending on when I step on the scales (or use the Wi-Fit (measuring, measuring, measuring)
Same Prudie. I weighed myself in the evening and I was 3 lb heavier than the morning. I rarely weigh myself.
Question Author
I use two weighing scales - one is the cheapest Argos had and the other is a digital set that drives me mad because according to it I am a 14 year old or a 35 year old (I basically don't know how to re-set it)
I use traditional ones. Stops any obsessing over 0.5 of a pound.

Better off than on Ummmm
On any day your weight can vary more than that due to other factors. Weighing too frequently can be counterproductive.

Stick to being good and it will work. 300 grams a week is nearly 16 kg in a year. That is a lot.
