I love to cook a large roast dinner and we always eat at 1.30 p.m.
Crosswords in the afternoon and occasionally finding something worth reading in the Sunday papers. Regular 'phone calls to family/friends. A little gardening when weather allows. Hopefully a favourite programme in the evening to unwind.
choux - // I don't suppose many of us come across as we really are, a-h. //
I guess there are apsects that are clear -
I come across as erudite, verbose, opinionated, unable to back down from a fight, sarcastic, curious, and humorous, and I am all of those things - but I would like to think that I come across as caring and cheerful, because I am certainly both of those as well.
The three of us are usually at home together which is always pleasant, might be a decent dog-walk involved if the weather is good. Usually includes a Roast Dinner, any one of us is capable of doing one of those.
Lazy evening with a glass or two of Red in prospect.
You don't have to reliquish your sunday roast. I used to love doing my "summer roast" Get a chicken (preferably already stuffed) cover it with Cajun spices, put it in a roasting tin with whole garlic cloves and lemons. Serve with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and crushed baby new potatoes (you can use a turkey baster to suck up the Cajun enriched juices from the pan and pour them over the potatoes)
My ideal Sunday would consist of a Sunday Roast, lots of vino and and afternoon vegging out watching a musical. Food, family and lazing around are my 3 key must haves.
