Went 15 minutes over on car park ticket and got issued a PCN. When I got there the Warden was taking photos but I notice he got my registration number on the ticket by a digit (he put 26 instead of 16)

Is it worth trying to get off the ticket on this technicality or is the photograph he took enough for it to stand?

Short answer...No. It is my understanding that the Penalty Charge Notice is an invite to settle the matter quickly and 'Cost Effectively'. It is Not evidence against you. However, the photograph would be evidence. Hans.

Check out the Martin Lewis site and see what they advice is about these charges now.

If you have to pay it I think the photos will be enough.
Is there a reduction for paying early? If so you risk missing out on this if you wriggle and lose.
