I got my end of year report from college today, saying that I got onto the second year (YES!) and my final grades for last year, but on it my tutor put a note saying, "Louise I haven't found your sketchbook, please bring it in by the end of July".

I called the college to speak to her because I handed it in almost 2 months ago now with my project, why is it she only tells me now that she doesn't have it?

I went into college today to pick up my work and had a good look round the studio etc but it's no where...

Does this mean I won't get my grade for the work??

I should have been given 6 grades but only have 4, this means that when I apply for university next year they'll see I'm missing marks and dismiss my applicatin straight away because I don't have the correct 'attitude' to work.. All because my tutor has lost my work..

Is this fair to not get the grade if I'm 101% positive I handed my work in? xx
have you got a hand in slip? every time we handed anything in at college we were given a receipt.

Nope nothing, is a good idea though!
At a different level, my son wasn't allowed to sit GCSE English Lit because his teacher lost the last couple of bits of his coursework. She claimed he hadn't handed them in when I knew darned well he had. I wouldn't mind, but I'd spent good money on extra tutoring for him just so that he could get the coursework done.

I didn't do my english lit GCSE because of the same thing. I'm so angry though because I dont want this to result of not getting into a decent university. What can I email my tutor saying?
trouble is some students my pulklk this stunt to get out of handing work in that they haven't done, so your word won't really suffice unless your tutor remembers you giving it to her.
go into her office and refuse to leave until you have searched everywhere for it, and insist she looks in her car bag, house etc
