Why Do Women Wearing Wellies Often Not Realize They Stepped On Something?

Hello, i saw it often when being in the woods that women who were walking their dog wearing wellies often showed no reaction at all when stepping on twigs or even snails and slugs that were crossing. Do they really don`t feel them or don`t they care?

I actively try to avoid anything alive like snails and slugs but I don't take notice of twigs especially not in a wood :/

If you tried to avoid walking on twigs slugs and snails whilst walking in the woods you would be better off ballet dancing en pointe as that is the only way to avoid it!

When I walk the hounds tomorrow I will have a small child with as per Mamya suggestion wearing ballet pumps to ensure that no little slugs and snails or twigs get stomped on.
