Does anyone know if its cheaper to buy a camcorder at Dubai Airport or in Dubai itself? Also does anyone know a good shop in the Gold Souk where I can buy a Diamond ring? Also has anyone noticed any tomtom sat navs out in Dubai? Thankyou

From my expericnce it will be cheaper to buy the camcorder in the UK, maybe from an internet company.

I have found Dubai's claim to be the duty free capital to be rather suspect and I would check the prices carefuly in the UK before you buy one in Dubai.

You will probably find it is more expensive in Dubai than in the UK.

The gold souk is full of gold shops ,just remember the gold you buy in dubai is usually 18ct and is about the same price as 9ct in England ,you can barter to.
