The medieval Roman numeral for 300 is B so it's
Dumb -b =Dum+fries

Thanks Calibax, I went hunting for that but couldn't find any reference - I'd seen that we needed to lose a 'B'.
Thanks for that Calibax, have never heard of that before.
I only knew because they get used quite a lot in Listener/Inquisitor type crosswords.
