No, i would have preferred that he behaved like an adult and drove away.
Suggesting that it's OK to provide one assault because he refrained from providing another worse assault, doesn't really stand up as a defence for his behaviour, does it?

Neither of the two men come out of this with their integrity intact, but Carragher has obviously behaved the worse of the two.

I have given this more thought - especially in the way that Mr Carragher has handled the situation.
In view of his willingness to accept his behaviour, and make amends as far as possible, I have changed my view on the possibility of his sacking.
I think suspension to the end of the season is appropriate, then start afresh next season with a line drawn under this.
It was a dreadful thing to do, but people make mistakes, Mr Carragher was caught on camera making his, and he is paying the price in terms of the public approbation he is rightly receiving.
But having read all his comments, and in admiration for is undergoing a difficult interview on Sky, I am happy to correct my previous reaction regarding his future as a pundit.
Anyone else changed their view in the light of his handling of the situation?

Not really as the father was illegaly using his phone at the wheel,with one hand on the steering wheel whilst not watching the road and having a conversation with another driver out of the left side passenger window.
This was a recipe for a multitude car pile up with numerous innocent casualties including his daughter.
