What's the most favoured product on the market?
It used to be Emitex in my youth, but I heard it wasn't very good for the records.

Soap and water. Ordinary bar soap, like Imperial leather, Lux or Palmolive. Run some warm water into a bowl about 3 inches and lather you fingers and gently clean in the direction of the grooves.
It is best to have a soft linen cloth to dry. Again don't rub hard just gently dry allowing the cloth to go in the direction of the grooves.
