Just after watching some repeats of the above programme. Do you wonder if doctors don't get depressed or miserable as every single patient that comes in has something wrong with them. Be it physical or mental.
Also did note that some patients came in with "their" diagnosis and I relate to that since my doctors will say "well what do you think is wrong with you".
You do hear some shocking stories, for instance the recent case about the doctor who refused to see the little girl because she arrived late. The child died. Should we have even a tiny bit of sympathy for that doctor, was she exhausted? I personally do not, I could never forgive her, but it makes me question why on earth she acted that way.
Fortunately I have a very good, hard working gp, who, last time I saw him told me he loves his job.
Does anyone else watch the programme "Doctor Christian will see you now?"He is another very good doctor, who clearly finds his job rewarding., and he has his team of experts to help him.
