Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

The questions for help/clues etc appear to be entered under the heading (e.g.) "Sunday Times (+ code No) e.g. 4788"

If you search for Sunday Times 4788, 4789 or 4790, you should see quite a few clues from the last three puzzles.

In which case . . . maybe others find it easy enough that they do not need to ask for help or not many people who subscribe to AB attempt it (too difficult, not interested etc) who knows?

There could be a combination of reasons - fewer doing it, more completing it or some just happy to plod on for a day or two.

If stumped for an answer or parse, start a thread.

That may be true, but for weeks there were queries from a core of people who had asked for help with at least one clue. One week someone must have asked about 3 clues and then sent a couple more similar queries, thus covering a large number of clues!. Perhaps they are all experts now. I also used to visit Crossword Solver, and that site has no queries about Crossword 4790 either!

Well there are two on CS, but to be fair today's wasn't too difficult overall.

Well, thanks for your comments. No-one seems to have noticed the drop-off in queries, except me. I'll sit down and tackle it after tea, and hope that the revered Meyer/Mayer didn't set it.

As Mamy suggests, if you would like to start a thread for specific clues that you may want help with, you are likely to receive replies. Maybe this is one puzzle that waxes and wanes in popularity along with the degree of difficulty?
