defaults after 6 years

I recently obtained my credit file as had a default registered in April 2000 by black horse,still paying debt ,it now shows a start and end date in April 2006 but still showing on file?any ideas if i can get this removed now?

Hi there,
Yes you would need to contact the credit reference agencies and make them aware that the default footprint is still appearing on your credit report. The urls for the 3 UK credit reference agencies are below:

Until the debt is satisfied it will remain on your file and you say that you are still paying it. The fact remains the loan was defaulted on and i think it remains until you have cleared it.
