Obviously the son did the deed but why did his father store the gun where the son had access to it. If anyone has to live with this for the rest of his life it should be the father.

However you cut it what is clear is that had the Security guy not engaged him more kids would have been shot at.

OK, I know that does not fit the anti NRA agenda some of you have but it is the case. This time.

Denying such or using spurious arguments about the shooter taking his life makes it look like your agenda is not the safekeeping of students but purely political point scoring. Odd if you ask me.

I don't believe that anyone who has posted thus far is looking to core points, political or otherwise. More likely is that we are, at the time of writing, not in possession of the full facts of what happened.

What cannot be denied is that the NRA will be using this as fodder for their 'Good guy with a gun / bad guy with a gun' nonsense.

It would perhaps be better of the government were focusing on trying to find a way of getting 'No guy with a gun' - which of course is the last thing the NRA want.

If the NRA can use this as a message that the way to stop high school shootings is for more peope with more guns, then all their birthdays will have come at once.
