For one reason or another, much to do with religion and money, Jews have been reviled across the centuries, but when you’re asking questions where ‘racism’ and “Islamophobia” occur in the same sentence you have to ask why the words “Buddhistophobia” or “Hinduophobia” aren’t commonplace. There are usually reasons for everything.

In answer to the question, I don’t think there will be a rise in anti-Semitism – most people see that for what it is - but I think we will see, and are seeing, a rise in what we erroneously call ‘Islamophobia’.

They exist, and in the case of Islam, a sustained campaign by the media increases hostility.

I believe that our media is heading the way of the American media, less 'news', more paranoia and subversive suggestion.

Feeding people's fears is not journalism, but paradoxically, it does sell papers.

I have only one ism.... peoplewhodobadthingstoothersism. Oh and others includes animals and the environment. I try to be open to everyone and don't really care where they come from in the world or in their thoughts so long as they don't do harm.

These terms are all widely used prejudicially and equivocally, often as a way of subverting the underlying issue of the reason these terms exist at all in the first place, the inability to consider others or indeed regard oneself as independent individuals.
