Kidas....... your point is well taken and usually "he who pays the piper calls the tune" However if one has a happy work force, then the business tends to thrive, but over the years the removal of posts has been a contentious issue and with falling posters, this problem should be taken seriously. No posters means no AB. I am not suggesting that the decrease in...

Naomi's logic is impeccable, except of course in that it excludes the (rather large) possibility that an "unknown" mod zapped the post, independent of any report that was or was not made. And who knows what unknown mods know or do not?
As a separate point, a post can be as factual as it likes to be, but if it's also delivered in a manner that is judged to be rude or offensive then it is still at risk of breaking Site Rules. So I'm not sure if the knowledge or otherwise of the mods/editorial team comes into it anyway.

In the long run, it follows that anyone who doesn't know who the moderators are can't know whether or not any given post was removed by a moderator or by the editorial team.
In that sense it is surprising to see you stick to an insistence, time and again, that you know things about how posts ended up deleted.
Unless you are a mod... :O

On nostalgia I remember a few years back I would log on eagerly to see what had been going on in CB. Nearly always something titivating, never anymore.
Spot on.
CB is Al but dead. If you don't share the same SOH as the last remaining CB'ers you generally get ignored.
I agree with naomi that some posts are removed by mods or the Ed because they have not understood the post.

The assumption that posts are removed by anyone because the remover 'doesn't understand the post' is not only high-handed and pompous, it is incorrect.
Posts are removed because they contravene Site Rules.
I'll repeat that to make sure it is understood - posts are removed because they contravene Site Rules.
They are not removed because -
It's Friday
It's raining
The Moderator thinks the poster is right wing
The Moderator thinks the poster is left wing
The Moderator thinks the poster might be cruel to animas
The Moderator has taken a dislike to the poster
The Moderator thinks he or she knows better
The Moderator doesn't understand what he or she has read.
If anyone thinks their posts are removed unfairly, they can contact the Editor.
If their posts are being routinely removed, maybe they need a dispassionate examination of the way their phrase their posts, in terms of the Site Rules.
I can't make it any simpler than that - hopefully everyone who feels they have a pointless grievance will now be satisfied that they are not important enough to be the subject of a concerted campaign against them - except in their vivid imaginations.

Spath - // And there is the antagonisation... What Andy says is quite accurate... If you have an issue, email the ed (Politely else you may find yourself suspended). //
Why mail the Ed and be advised that what I have said is the truth, when you can sit and poste endlessly on here about how Mods are too thick to understand your highbrow posts, so they delete them to stop their heads hurting!
