The glory that was Rome is of another day...I've been terribly alone, forgotten in Manhatten and now I off to that city by the bay..I left my heart in San Fransisco....

The quote is actually "The glory that was Greece and the grandeur that was Rome". I think it's the end of a poem by Edgar Allen Poe.
