hi there
im in band B and the rates are £1259.17.
i havent received my council tax bill in the post yet but my balance online is showing as £944.38. i live alone with my 2 children both under 18 so aware i get 25% discount which takes it to the correct balance of £944.38.
Does anyone know if you get any other discounts for having children under 18 (no disabilites etc) as on my friends bill it has a breakdown on the bill and takes off a family premium etc...i am also on a fairly low wage £657 a month so thought id pay bit less because of this? My bill last year was £75 a month now they want £95 i no its gone up but thats quite a jump....

The best way to discover if you can get any help towards paying is to apply for CT Benefit, some Councils let you do this online.

Or phone them on Tuesday.
