i wouldn't describe any word with two syllables as long

Oh I see. We need to narrow it down a bit or it could be the longest, possibly more boring, thread ever. I'll check back later

Can't think of a single word that ends ....bcdgmp.
You could do with a backwards dictionary. Very useful for crosswords.

I should make myself clearer. I seek verbs that are words of two syllables or more which end with letters B, C, D, G, M or P. Verbs may be transitive or intransitive but I only want the infinitive version. No past participles or gerunds etc (ie nothing ending in '-ing' or '-ed'.
For instance, my"Crossword Completion Dictionary" gives 42 nine-letter words ending in P. 51 eleven-letter words ending in M.
If you go to any crossword-help website, and enter a set of spaces followed by the letter you want to appear as the last letter, you will see huge lists of words.
