I put it on here last night having watched Martin Scorcese's; 'The Blues: Red, White and Blue'. Everyone; Eric Clapton, John Mayall, Van Morrison and many more loved and were indebted to Ray.
I once read his biography, - which I gave away and can't remember its title. He had a hard start in life, born in abject poverty, no father, his mother made him, as much as possible, do everything for himself, because she knew when she was gone he would have to survive without her, alone and blind.
I remember he had a younger brother who died in a tragic accident, drowning while playing in a rain-water barrel, Ray thought it was his fault that he couldn't save him.
