Some may remember that I posted on here last week about writing to my MP. I received an auto reply (didn't expect anything else really) which started by advising that if I had any personal problems I should contact the Samaritans. How desperate do they think we are? Good innit?!
Many years ago I wrote to my MP....didn't get reply but unfortunately he called to the house to visit me.
I say unfortunately because my very Irish and confusing mother was babysitting.....
She either confused him so much.....or he felt sorry for me because for the next three or four Christmases we got a card with best wishes from Roger and Jennifer.......I hadn't a clue who Roger and Jennifer were until the penny dropped ages later.....x
In 2011 I was in frequent email correspondence with my MP who was campaigning against the introduction of AV. I always got a personal reply, plus some snippets of gossip about certain MPs.
I have 2 signed letters on House of Commons stationery from my MP. One answered my points directly and made an effort to communicate properly. Recently I emailed about the Brexit negotiations and received a standardised email response - he was obviously inundated.
