Anyone got any recommendations for a temporary root cover in between colours? My hairline and temples are practically white and it's not feasible to dye my hair every other week. I've tried the L'Oreal Magic Retouch, but it squirts about a bit and colours my scalp.

Ideas?

I've also tried the Magic Retouch, and while colours ok, it leaves your a sticky mass.
I've read about some kind of crayon you can get from Boots. It's supposed to be good, but I haven't tried it. By John Frieda, I think.

I does, doesn't it. Almost feels like paint, which I suppose it is, really.
I'd give up if I were you and let it grow through. Grey/white hair is very 'in'.
There is a mousse called Indola which isn't too bad
My friend used a colour that is painted on with a brush. I can't remember what it is called but it's about £25. It worked very well for the odd night out. I`ve messaged her to see if she can remember the name

Hell will freeze over before I let the grey, stay. I’ll have a look at the Indola.

Thanks all

Is there not something like mascara for hair? It used to be sold in Boots/Superdrug etc but I haven't seen any for ages.

The John Frieda one is put on with a brush and is a bit like brown eyeshadow. Very natural and much better than the L'Oreal magic retouch spray which is like dark hair lacquer and spatters your face into the bargain.

I’ve got the John Frieda one, but I’m not overly impressed with it.
WOW powder with a brush is brilliant. A bit expensive but lasts a long time. Comes in various shades.
