My messages are taking an hour or so for the recipient to receive them, could there be a problem with my network or theirs? Also I dont hear a Beep when I send them. There is just one grey tick for ages, especially when I am out of the house and my mobile data is on. Is there any way I can check my own network? I have a Samsung J5 2016 mobile. Tia.

If you're talking about the same recipient here you send the message to him then it means that the recipient has a problem in his/her network because single grey tick means the message has been released from your network and waiting for the recipient to receive it. Or if this is happening with every recipient you send a message to then you need to update your app...
