I have just bought a home with a bathroom with light grey/beige grout that has turned dark grey in the shower area. What is the best (cheapest and most efficient) way to fix this?

I swear by a pot of grout whitener. I do my kitchen every year and its brilliant. Looks like tippex, paint it on, let it dry for a couple of hours , spray with water to soften and wipe off. It really is that simple. DIY or Wilkinsons usually have that sort of thing. xx

Thanks, but will that be good for grey/beige grout? I don't want to make it white, just clean and all the same colour.
Stupid kitten ... read the question properly. My grout is white on white. , sorry. xx

Well thanks anyway eartha :)
Sorry drestie ... Only thing I can think of is a good bleach and a toothbrush xx
Question Author
Will try that, thanks!
i use a steamer on mine comes up as new but be carefull you dont steam to close to the grouting as it can take it off, if you dont have one then try cif bathroom spray and use a brush to scrub the grouting.

Thanks, enid. I don't have a steamer but I will try the spray and brush :)
Dettol 'mould and bacteria remover' (formerly 'Dettox') works wonders on bathroom grout. Bright green spray bottle. Powerful stuff.
