Politics and religion is not my thing as. I find to argue about them you can go round in circles and get nowhere and lose friends in doing so,what I would like to say is Diane Abbott and Jeremy Corbyn don’t fill me with enthusiasm to vote Labour, I have said on here before I am sure she is not quite right and yet if she has something wrong with her someone would have noticed by now and before anyone says her colour has nothing to do with my opinion , and yet what is the alternative to voting labour

Local government isn't even consistent over the country. Hard to know who deals with what issue. And the more layers of government the less likely you are to know the ability of individual candidates anyway.

News is depressing. Authorities and their actions are too. Was just thinking that I should stop reading newspapers and watching the news. What the heck is wrong with eveyone ? Better off becoming a hermit.
The important thing for me is whether your MP is a good constituency MP. I have lived in different areas and have had good constituency MPs from both the main parties. This is why I continue to vote. My current MP is not someone I whose parliamentary activities I admire but is generally accepted to be an excellent constituency MP and I have friends who have personal experience of this ( despite their political leanings being to the other main party ). Therefore, when there seems little to admire in either main party, this person would get my vote.
