If there was something worth having to start with, and you really love this person and they have loved you, I personally would fight for it with everything I had. Integrity and honesty is a good starting point, but it appears the trust has evaporated in your relationship.

.... and IF they are deleting messages, the first question I'd be asking is what are they trying to hide and what is it that they don't want you (or maybe someone else??) to see??
