Just enjoyed my dinner of sirloin steak onions potatoes and peas - pavlova after.
I adore pepper and use whole black peppercorns grinded - however, never ever think they are peppery enough. Any body know where I can buy pepper that is really peppery. Ta
Are you using a pepper grinder? If so then the pepper is going to be pretty much as peppery as it gets. If you want more pepperiness add more pepper......
Eccles I do use a grinder - I put loads of pepper on as you have suggested. But I was at a barbecue 2 weeks ago (unexpected) but host done steak sausages and I couldn't believe the pepperiness of them (is there such a word) - you could really taste the pepper. Ah well.
Mmm, sounds like a nice tasty supper, Connemmara!!
I haven't had a steak in ages, and you've got me tempted to dine out this weekend to have one!! :)
I agree, you can't beat a bit of pepper with it....Ah...Ahh...AhhhhhCHOOOOOOO!
imho - these were "thin sirloin steaks" (Sainsburys) - you get two for £6.00 - now I do buy sirloins regularly - but there is a lovely taste to these thin ones. Goes to show you I got the last pack so they must be popular.
Accidentally came across a box of "old" ground black pepper in the box - poured it on to my dinner (incidentally dinner same as last night (only no pavlova)) as it was 2 steaks in the pack. Very peppery - enjoyed it very much - will take note of what make it is - cos Gawd the blooming thing has been in the cupboard for a while - maybe take a look at the date (again maybe not if it is peppery enough) it will do me - just an update guys.
