Have been growing plants from avocado pips for, on and off, about thirty years. In hot countries, Spain, Iran, Portugal, cold countries England and Scotland and have always had great success in producing lovely plants, but not ever, in that time, have I produced anything that looked like a fruit.

When I googled how to do it it said it takes about 8 weeks to shoot and they may never fruit but if it does will probably not look anything like the big Avocado it came from. Hi

I just fancy trying it.

I thought I would have to plant it in a tub or something but it spends the fist 8 weeks or so half submerged in water.

I will update when/if anything happens :-)
