last week turned out to be. Hope next week will be better.

Wednesday would have been Mum and Dad’s Wedding Anniversary- I was quite sad that day and it all went downhill from there.

On Thursday we were notified that our storage unit had been broken into. Going tomorrow to check it over. Then Friday morning en-route to work with dad’s boss, he gets a call...one of the vehicles has been stolen.

The fact someone has potentially been through my things has been HARD. I’ve been very on edge all weekend. Started off really moody but picked up once partner stopped grilling me.

Haven’t really spoken much about it. I have wrote down how I feel though. I’m trying to keep negativity to a minimum and I’m actually doing better than I thought I would.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation and how did you cope?

Here’s hoping next week will be a better week.

Certainly hope things improve for you, there are some lousy so and sos out there.x
Thieving git's, with a bit of luck the cops might get them.
Things can only get better, queenie.
Last week was my parents wedding anniversary, sadly neither are still with me, but, I am 9 years in my new apt that I bought for my Mam and me, it makes me happy to know her last few years were happy and easy going considering she was so unwell, Dad passed a long while before her, I've not had good health news, I too have diabetes but there are other things but I just keep battling on, I don't have another half but I have a great sis, only for her, I think I would have thrown in the towel a long while and then I look at others worse off and think, I'm a very lucky person, never been nicked but been violated in my years and think, material things, as much as they mean to you, the rummagers would not have had the same sentiment so a bit of cbt would help with that
Sorry your week was bad, you're not alone
Depressing for you QoM. Don't let the low lifes get you down...
Keep strong and carry on x
Sending big hugs to QOM and all of you. X
I moved into the new apt with my Mam on her wedding anniversary, 23rd April - it was a Thursday (8 yrs ago) and while she remembered her 'big day' with Dad, I always think of that move, all the negatives and low lifes, take some positive out of it (somewhere there is some)

Thank you all.

I’m sorry to hear that Dickson. Im doing my best though. I did cook a nice meal for Dad and made mum’s favourite pudding that was a comfort. I’m sure your Mum and Dad too will be watching over you.
Hugs Q
Thanks QoM, you did good for your dad in such circumstances ❣
I am sure it will be - better next week

Gurlz have different ideas about being robbed / burgled. I had three on the trot and it only stopped after I put in a burglar alarm. No3 was tiresome rather than wobbly - I suppose you could call it training

I am sorry you have had a bad week Queenie.

What nasty low life scum to do that to you.

I had a lot of stuff in storage, with the lady I worked with. It was while she moved, and we went to Kenya for four months. A load of things went missing, nobody would claim responsibility for it. I was very upset about some of the personal things that I never got back.

I hope that next week is a better one for you.

Take care, and know you are better than they are. xx

No problem Ducksie.

Unfortunately I can’t put a burglar alarm in PP although I would like to run an electric current through the padlock but somehow I feel that would be frowned upon. A lot of the things were of sentimental value but we did put a few things in there from the recent move. But I don’t know anything so will need to wait and see.

Just hope you haven’t had anymore since!

Aww Marval I’m sorry to hear that.

Thank you :) xx
Hi Queenie - over the years I have been through my cars being stolen about 3 - I lived in a troubled area re the Troubles, another two broken into and damaged. So that is about 5 cars.

About 6 years ago I also was burgled and car stolen again and the sad thing is I do know pretty strongly then who was culpable but couldn't open my mouth.

I have had 6 car crashes in the past 10 years and I could go on but you know Queenie - your mother and grandmother are looking down on you and your dad and you will pull through.

You are a good person and this attitude will see you through. x

Thank you jj :)

Sorry to hear about all the trouble you went through.
Ach it's in the past now. - take care
// would like to run an electric current through the padlock//

I think there is an Irish case where an intruder went thro the front door and porch and had his leg blown off
( always use the back door was the rule in that household!) and the result was a conviction....
yes on the householder
oh dear..never a nice feeling Queenie..but draw a line and move on..no point in fretting over what can't be changed... there are lots of special days to get through as I know only too well.. I have a good cry and then dust myself down.... not easy... hope you are enjoying living doon the coast !

It’s not, it’s horrid. On Friday it was like I had a MASSIVE thunder cloud hanging over me, but it lessening and it’s probably a rain cloud at the moment. Going to the unit shortly. I’ve written down instead of crying and that’s helped. I’m getting there though. Finding plenty to do to keep my mind at rest.

Love living down the coast though! Ok it’s cold, but it’s lovely. Seeing the scenery first thing in the morning is beautiful. I need to fish out the camera, see myself getting into photography.
