Just like taking a car into a garage, you pay for both parts and labour when getting work done on a bike at Halfords but a couple of £6 pads and £12 labour doesn't come to £49. So what's actually shown on the bill?
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 states that, when no specific charge for a service has been agreed prior to that service being rendered, "the consumer must pay a reasonable price for the service, and no more".

So does the mystery part of your bill (which you've not told us about) relate to a service charge or to the supply of parts?
