DE-BADGING A CAR?
8 Answers
I have just aquired a black metallic Merc C180 Esprit , which I would like to de-badge. My previous car, same make/model was already de-badged when I bought it, so I would like the same with this one. Has anyone attempted to do this & did it cause any damage to the paintwork? Cheers.

it all depends on how the badges are fitted, some are put on with double sided foam tape in which case using a hairdrier to soften the glue before pulling the badge off then t-cutting the area is good. Some are fitted by having spikes protruding through the panel and clipped on, if this is the case you need to remove clips from inside the paned and remove badge, this will leave some small holes which will need to be filled and sprayed.
